Therefore, we have implemented various initiatives and established rules to continuously promote eco-friendly activities that are unique to us.

Main measures

  • Initiatives at the new base
    The latest logistics centers with high frozen storage capacity prioritize the adoption of "refrigeration equipment using natural refrigerants (such as ammonia)" which are highly energy-efficient, do not deplete the ozone layer, and have an extremely low global warming potential (GWP).
  • Initiatives at Existing Locations
    We are also progressively replacing existing chillers with equipment that has a lower global warming potential when they reach their replacement time, aiming for decarbonization across the entire supply chain.

    Reduction of power consumption by introducing LED lighting
    We are promoting the conversion of lighting equipment to LED at all our facilities. The current adoption rate is close to 100%, resulting in a significant reduction in electricity consumption within our logistics centers. Our goal is not simply to save electricity, but also to reduce environmental impact by eliminating mercury and improve workplace safety through high-brightness lighting. We are continuing with maintenance and upgrades to achieve these objectives.

    Utilization of self-consumption type solar power generation
    Toward the realization of a decarbonized society, we are promoting the installation of solar power generation facilities, regardless of whether they are new or existing. The generated electricity is consumed in-house at each location, accelerating the shift to clean energy.

This is Muroo's unique environmental project for simultaneously achieving CO₂ emission reduction, improved fuel efficiency, and cost reduction.
We are promoting environmentally friendly logistics by systematizing eco-driving practices that drivers can implement daily.

Introduction of FCEV vehicles

FCEV Deployment

Introduce hydrogen fuel cell (FC) trucks on January 29, 2026.
The vehicle introduced is CJPT's FC small truck, which is an Isuzu Elf equipped with Toyota's fuel cell (FC). It has a maximum payload of 2300 kg, carries approximately 10 kg of hydrogen, and has a cruising range of about 260 km.

    Routine inspections and regular maintenance are fundamental to energy saving.
    To reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, black smoke, and carbon dioxide from diesel vehicles, both driving methods and proper inspection and maintenance are crucial factors.

    Keeping these areas in the best possible condition is fundamental to energy saving, and complete adherence will lead to a sure improvement in fuel efficiency.
